1. India’s public broadcaster, Prasar Bharati has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with “Yupp TV”, an over-the-top (OTT) platform, which is a gateway for television viewers across the globe.

2. The government has launched “Donate-a-Pension programme” on 7 March 2022 in New Delhi. It is an initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) pension scheme where citizens can donate the premium contribution of their immediate support staff including domestic workers, drivers and helpers.

3. The ninth edition of Sri Lanka-India Naval Exercise SLINEX has begun on 7 March 2022 in Visakhapatnam. The exercise has conducted in two phases-the harbour phase at Visakhapatnam on 7 and 8 March 2022, followed by the sea phase on 9 and 10 March 2022 in “Bay of Bengal”.

10. Section 161, as amended by the Motor Vehicles Act 2019, increased the compensation for death in hit-and-run cases from Rs 25,000 to Rs. 2 Lakhs; in cases of grievous injuries, the compensation was enhanced from Rs. 12,500 to Rs 50,000.
